Construction of the new Midland Highway bypass around the town of Perth  has created a 50 hectareurban infill development opportu-nity directly adjacent to the town’s commercial centre.  

Since European settlement, the village of Perth has straddled the Midland Highway between Launceston and Hobart. The recently com-pleted bypass has significantly reduced traffic 

 

RPPG’s current concept is for 369 lots that when developed will revitalise the Perth township. RPPG is developing plans for a zero carbon urban infill project incorporating a micro grid and state of the art sustainability practices. Current plans include four villages of varying lot sizes designed around generous open public spaces.
